Volatilità implicita e strategia di trading (2 lettori)

Ciao a tutti! Volevo sapere secondo la vostra opinione qual'è il miglior indice a cui un trader dovrebbe guardare per determinare la volatilità implicita (VIX, ecc.) e quale potrebbe essere una buona strategia, sia a livello teorico che pratico, se il trader pensa che il mercato sarà più volatile di quanto si aspettano gli investitori.

considera che tutte le strategie sul Vix sono ribaltabili sugli indici azionari, con una fortissima semplificazione operativa, fiscale ecc,
fai searc con "vix non vaporub" troverai, vix, etf vix, long/short contango, short vix (per sfruttare il contango) + long call vix otm, ecc, ecc.
Ma considera che lo short vix è pari ad un long azionario, e viceversa. Di tutto il vix ne puoi fare tranquillamente a meno. Tutta salute

Not OP, but I know him, and I'll make sure he sees this. Personally, I generally do bands. I think it makes more sense than frequency since you are keeping more defined risk parameters. As for how tight I keep my bands, that depends on the trade. It should be known that the tighter you keep the deltas the lower variance you get on the trade, though it's a diminishing returns thing, and trading costs start adding up after a while. Another interesting thing to note is if you are long gamma, and the underlying market is mean reverting, you should hedge more often (keep tighter bands), and if it is trend following, less often (wider bands). The reverse Speed Test is true for short gamma trades.
