El presidente de México, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, aseguró que no ve ningún riesgo en la capacidad de proporcionar energía eléctrica en todos los hogares del país a pesar de las envejecidas líneas de transmisión.

“No hay motivo, tenemos plantas suficientes y hay reservas de energía para abastecer los hogares”, sostuvo al ser preguntado sobre un eventual recorte eléctrico durante su rueda de prensa matutina en el Palacio Nacional, en Ciudad de México.

De acuerdo a la agencia de noticias EFE, consideró que la estatal Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) tiene un “buen desempeño”, aunque reconoció que en algunos puntos del país hay líneas de transmisión envejecidas.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump said on Thursday the United States will impose a 5% tariff on all goods coming from Mexico starting on June 10 until illegal immigration across the southern border is stopped.
"The Tariff will gradually increase until the Illegal Immigration problem is remedied, at which time the Tariffs will be removed," Trump said on Twitter.
In a statement issued by the White House, Trump said the tariff would increase to 10% on July 1, 15% on Aug. 1, 20% on Sept. 1 and to 25% on Oct. 1.
"Mexico’s passive cooperation in allowing this mass incursion constitutes an emergency and extraordinary threat to the national security and economy of the United States," Trump said in the statement.
"Mexico has very strong immigration laws and could easily halt the illegal flow of migrants, including by returning them to their home countries," he said.

Washington, 31 mag 22:00 - (Agenzia Nova) - La Camera di commercio degli Stati Uniti sta valutando di tentare causa contro la Casa Bianca per le tariffe annunciate del presidente Donald Trump contro il Messico. Il potente gruppo di pressione delle imprese ha confermato venerdì che "stiamo esplorando tutte le opzioni, comprese le azioni legali" dopo che Trump ha annunciato le tariffe sulle importazioni messicane. Le tariffe partiranno al 5 per cento e aumenteranno di 5 punti percentuali ogni mese prima di raggiungere il 25 per cento il 1° ottobre. Il piano del presidente Trump, che entrerà in vigore a partire dal 10 giugno, si tradurrà in un aumento delle tasse di 17 miliardi di dollari per le imprese e i consumatori statunitensi, ha detto la Camera di Commercio in comunicato stampa.
